SOS Forêt Fernand-Seguin, Héritage St-Bernard et le Club des ornithologues de Châteauguay profiteront de cette séance publique du Conseil de la MRC Roussillon pour démontrer la valeur écologique unique de la forêt Châteauguay-Léry et témoigner de l'importance de la conservation et de la mise en valeur qu'accordent les citoyens à ce magnifique territoire.

Les documents suivants y seront déposés:

• la pétition et ses 12 145 signataires
• les 584 mémoires et opinions déposés, écrits par les citoyens
  de Châteauguay
• le rapport de la consultation publique sur le développement du
  secteur Sud-Ouest de Châteauguay
• les rapports d’inventaire floristique faits par monsieur André Sabourin
• le rapport d’inventaire de la faune aviaire fait par le Club des
  ornithologues de Châteauguay
• le rapport d’inventaire de la flore mycologique de monsieur
  Raymond McNeil

Nous demanderons aux maires siégeant au Conseil de la MRC de reconnaître l’ensemble du territoire de la ceinture verte comme un site d’intérêt écologique et de l’inscrire au schéma d’aménagement du territoire de la MRC Roussillon.

Roussillon RCM Council Meeting

SOS Fernand-Seguin Forest, Heritage Saint-Bernard and Chateauguay's ornitologists club will use the next Roussillon RCM Council’s public hearing to demonstrate the unique ecological value of the Chateauguay-Léry forest and to testify of the importance given by the citizens to the preservation and enhancement of this magnificent territory.

The following documents will be handed in:

• The petition, holding 12,145 signatures
• The 584 handed memoirs and opinions written by Chateauguay citizens
• The report of the public consultation regarding the development of the Chateauguay South-West sector
• The floristic inventory reports done by André Sabourin
• The avifauna inventory report done by Chateauguay's ornitologists club
• The mycological flora inventory report by Raymond McNeil

From the mayors serving at the RCM Council, we will demand acknowledgment of the entire green-belt territory as being one of high ecological interest and to include the site in the development plan of the Roussillon RCM.
