Good News for Our Forest!
At present, the town of Châteauguay is working seriously on the protection of natural areas within its territory. Apparently Transport Quebec wants to protect the former highway route that is the backbone of a north-south green corridor. Our Regional Government, “MRC Roussillon”, is considering the idea of a regional park. The citizens of Lery have responded favorably to a proposed development plan that supports the harmonious development of their portion of the territory.

Le Regroupement des citoyens de Léry invites everyone to an information evening hosted by GRAPP Sutton (Groupe de réflexion et d’action sur le paysage et le patrimoine). Since 2003, these citizens of Sutton have developed an approach allowing them to take control of their urban development and implement viable solutions. They will explain their winning strategy and how this stategy could be implemented in Léry. December 7, you are all invited to paticipate to Aménagement du territoire, le pouvoir des citoyens; “Urban Planning, the power of citizens".

Is the conservation of our most beautiful natural area close to your heart? You can participate in supporting our actions to safeguard the Green Corridor by sending a contribution to ensure “SOS Forêt Fernand-Seguin” will have the means to inform and act. All the work is voluntary, but it is not without printing costs, postage and mail delivery.

With your support, we will see good news!
But we still have challenges to overcome.

Guy Turcotte

Your Voluntary Contribution
Contribute to the success of the
Châteauguay-Lery Green Corridor

The recipe for success for SOS Forêt Fernand-Seguin is simply to mobilize citizens to achieve a unifying project. We must spread our message to all
effective channels.

Our Communication Plan for 2011 provides for a number of mailings to reach citizens in Lery. Printing and postage cost money and we have chosen to remain free of government subsidies. Any contribution, however modest, will ensure our ability to face the real estate lobby.

Support SOS Forêt Fernand-Seguin by sending your check to:

SOS Forêt Fernand-Seguin
7, rue du Parc Ranger
Châteauguay, Qc

We thank you all!
